Anyone fancy a Zoom meet up?

Have been thinking of this for a while since I spend a lot of time on Zoom these days, and wondered if anyone is interested in a virtual Sundermad meetup before Christmas?

I know some of you like to maintain your cover and stay anonymous but it has been such a tough year, and looks like a very lonely Christmas for many too.

In a normal year we would have tried to get a few of us out for a curry at some point, or at least a meet up in a pub, before or after a match, or even in the ground before kickoff. But obviously, with all the restrictions and the health of many on here it has been impossible.

It doesn't have to be a long session, just a chance to show our faces and introduce ourselves. Maybe someone is good at pub quizzes and we could do that for 45 mins or an hour? Oldblackcat used to do quizzes on here I know.

I can set it up and host it and of course will help anyone who doesn't know how to manage the tech.

What do you think?

Great! When do we want to do this? Is evening best for most? Is there a good time that we can attract our expats from far away places too? Do we want a meet up before (or after??) a match maybe Wimbledon on 15th or Blackpool on 22nd December?

Given preference was for evenings I have set up a Zoom for Monday 21st December 7pm-8pm (or longer depending how we are getting along!). Hope this is okay with everyone. Link is below.

I was thinking we just do introductions and then maybe a half hour quiz perhaps if someone feels up to doing a few questions? Can discuss progress with our new manager and look forward to the match on Tuesday 22nd vs Blackpool. And if we all have a drink to hand we can toast those who are no longer with us, and to a better 2021, to round up. Sound okay?

If you have never Zoomed before or need help getting set up, PM me, or message in here and I will do what I can to assist. All you need is a laptop or an ipad or a phone even. All work okay but I prefer laptop myself - bigger screen to see faces better!
