We face a big test on Tuesday at the SoL when 2nd place Ipswich come to town, a massive 3 points up for grabs.

Streaming and BBC radio Newcastle are available plus...

Families can soak in the matchday atmosphere by watching Sunderland AFC’s home and away games in Quinn’s Sports Bar.
From next Tuesday’s Stadium of Light showdown with Ipswich Town, supporters will be able to watch the big screen action for £20 per person, including a drink upon arrival and a one-course meal.
Decked in red and white memorabilia to provide the perfect matchday backdrop, Quinn’s will be open from 4.30pm next Tuesday ahead of the 7pm kick-off against the Tractor Boys.
A cashless table service will be in operation to take your food and drinks orders, with a children’s menu also available for any young Black Cats in attendance.
Members of each group must be within the same household or support bubble, as per Government guidelines, and supporters are advised that all tickets will be issued digitally.
Bookings are now open via the Online Box Office.

Remember it's a 19.00 KO

I fear Ipswich will come up here and do a Pompey on us. They will be a team near the top come the end of the season and we do not do that well against teams that attack us.

The flip side of that it will be nice to have an open game and Gucchi may produce a few more Messi type goals. This would be a massive win and I probably have predicted a win for the lads so I am hoping my 1st sentence is purely down to nerves.

Sunken I'd have thought  Rolling Eyes

On a more serious note the bare minimum is 3 points for SAFC. We can't allow those above us to jump any further ahead with the season able to be cancelled at any time. Once bitten, twice shy  Shocked

3 November 20203 November 2020.From the sectionLeague One

Grant Leadbitter scored his second late penalty of the season to secure three points for Sunderland and a win over former club Ipswich.
Paul Lambert's men lost for the third successive away game after Leadbitter, who scored the winner against Peterborough in September, sent goalkeeper Tomas Holy the wrong way with six minutes remaining.

Jack Lankester had initially equalised for second-placed Ipswich with seven minutes remaining of the first half when his effort bounced in off the inside of the far post.
That followed Charlie Wyke's eighth minute opener at the Stadium of Light when he controlled and finished Lynden Gooch's neat pass into the area.
With the score level at the break, Sunderland did look more dangerous after the restart but they needed a helping hand with 18 minutes remaining.
Ipswich midfielder Andre Dozzell was given a straight red card for a strong challenge on Leadbitter in the centre of the pitch.
And when referee Peter Wright deemed Aristote Nsiala's attempted clearance had hit Mark McGuinness' arm with seven minutes left, Leadbitter struck the penalty that secured Sunderland three points.
