Saturday 15.00 KO

Our first competitive game sees us take on newly relegated Hull City in the Carabao Cup.

I expect a full strength Sunderland team and a competitive game and for us to continue our 100% start to the campaign.

The game will be streamed live with Nick Barnes providing the commentary, if you have not watched the stream, why?

I expect a full strength team however I am not bothered in the slightest if we lose.

Regarding the stream I can probably get my son to set it up but to be honest I do not like watching us unless I am there.

Phil Parkinson’s side come into the clash on the back of a 100 percent record in pre-season, defeating Gateshead, Carlisle United and Harrogate Town along the way.
Summer recruits Aiden O’Brien, Bailey Wright, Morgan Feeney, Remi Matthews and Arbenit Xhemajli have all added freshness to the squad after a number of departures.
While youngsters Jack Diamond and Dan Neil have both staked a claim for a place in the starting XI after impressing so far.
Team news
Jordan Willis and Josh Scowen were both taken off during Saturday’s win over Harrogate Town, but Parkinson has revealed the pair have trained and are fully fit.
Elliot Embleton will miss the contest after picking up a thigh injury in the pre-season opener against Gateshead.
Strikers Will Grigg and Charlie Wyke are both pushing for starts after scoring two apiece since the return.
Opposition
Sunderland Academy graduate and former club captain George Honeyman returns to the Stadium of Light for the first time since his departure in 2019.
Grant McCann’s side are without five senior players for the game.
James Scott and Josh Magennis are both away on international duty and Lewie Coyle is unavailable through suspension.
While Callum Elder and Leonardo Da Silva miss out through a groin injury and illness respectively.
The game will be a dress rehearsal for the league fixture on Boxing Day after the Tigers were relegated from the Sky Bet Championship last season.
Don’t miss a kick
Sunderland supporters in the UK will be able to watch a live stream of this weekend’s Carabao Cup tie against Hull City (KO 3pm).
The Stadium of Light match-up will see Phil Parkinson’s Black Cats begin their 2020-21 campaign.
Live streaming passes are priced at £10 and are now available for UK-based supporters only.

As ever, there will be comprehensive coverage on Sunderland’s social media channels and live updates via @SunderlandAFC on Twitter.

Very good first half and should have been a few up.

I know success breeds confidence, but I'm nervous about picking up injuries in these meaningless games.

I hope for a win today, and a clean sheet.

Que Sera.

Very Happy

Just needs to convert his chances into goals and we may just get the player we thought we were signing.

Did they? He wasn't getting/creating any chances last season.
