First 8 fixtures are tough, maybe at a push Crewe at home isn't, but on the other hand they will be an unknown quantity having just gained promotion.

I think we should forget the cup games and concentrate on the league, having no fans might take the pressure off the players and we get some decent performances.    Shocked

Good thinking thatis. Cup games in recent seasons have proven  quite expensive to the club.

Good thinking thatis. Cup games in recent seasons have proven  quite expensive to the club.
When you consider a fixture pile-up in October and December and that's just for the league let alone cup matches thrown into the equation. So the sooner we do away with the tin pot that is the EFL trophy and the Carabao cup we can concentrate on getting out of this league.

I don't think there's any danger of a fixture congestion...I don't think we'll be in the Carabao or FA Cup for long it's just the EFL trophy where we might progress in

Agree, but since EFL trophy is against lesser clubs, if we can get on and maintain a winning run, then a possible final at the end is a bonus
