I watched ‘Marvellous’ on BBC catchup last night. I don’t usually watch such programmes but it was recommended and I’m so glad I did.  It won a BAFTA in 2014 so some may have already watched it.

For those that haven’t it’s a true story about a fantastic chap who has learning difficulties but he ignores that and just has an amazing life becoming the kit man at Stoke City and even getting an honorary masters at Keele university.  He can make friends with anybody including many well known people who appear in it.  I never realised Lou Macari is actually a nice chap. (That hurt).

It’s very funny with plenty of LOL’s,  heartwarming and definitely inspiring.

If you haven’t already watched it please do,  shit times at the moment and we all deserve a smile.

Mrs. A. and I watched it a couple of years ago, scared that it might upset us, being too close to our Adam, who has 'Downs syndrome' and it was absolutely brilliant . . . . we're awfully glad that we watched it Wink

I’m glad somebody else has seen it  Razz

I’m surprised I’d never heard of it especially with a large part being about football,  I’ll probably watch it again sometime in the future.  One of my favourite films is One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest which had a similar impact on me.

Best wishes to Adam,  I always get a warm feeling when I meet somebody suffering from Downs Syndrome.
