Well Ladies and Gents been away for a very long time I'll not go into it all I can say is Chinese Virus.
So what are we needing in the new players department?
I would like us to invest in young  pacy players, on the pace side that is one thing we lacked last season in all areas.
Firstly we need another keeper make Burge number1.
1x RB
1x LB
2 X NEW CB's
2 x Right wingers
1x Pacy CF
1X Pacy attacking midfielder (maybe the lad from peterboro).
Thoughts!

Welcome back and I have given up on what we need, I liked many we have brought in but we are still in division 1.

Any chance of getting Maja back?

Thought not

We may have got promoted if the season had finished correctly my dad believes it was a conspiracy by the EFL chairman to keep SAFC in league one best money they are going to gain by SAFC's away support= revenues for them.
I think Donald initially done a great job sorting out the clubs finances but I think he was banking on that we would have got promotion before the prem staggered payments ran out unfortunately it did not come off.
I hope he has got some people to buy the club before the new season starts not millionaires but billionare backers,I'm quite suprised Santori and his family have not come in and took the club over they all have a few bob to spare.

There won't be any crowds, so I don't see how any clubs can gain from us.

Don't you go to away games the supporters that go to away games are the most loyal and it's not just about going to the away games it's a great day away eating drinking and the crack is much better than home games.
These type of supporters never walkaway.
Unless the club is sold before the season kicks off it might be a lot emptier for the home games.
I'll be there why because I support the team and not the people running it

Whether he goes or not, I think he was referring to crowds not being allowed back for a while.

Anyway, as to what we need - a prolific goalscorer will do who fits in with the rest of the team. But most of what you said seems about right. Need to get Bailey Wright back in central defence and hoping Embleton gets a chance in Midfield.

What Players do we now want In Empty Re: What Players do we now want In

Reading the above proves that none of us really know. We can all put up the positions we believe we need to fill but really none of us know which potential players would fill those positions well. Also we don't know about the costs involved in acquiring a specific player together with the ongoing costs such as wages.
Many of the players previously added to the squad have looked very good and most of us have been excited by the addition. Then it seems to go wrong. Read comments from Will Grigg.
So do incomings need to fit in to the current playing system? Do they get the right kind of man management that fits their ego and enthusiasm?
Lots of questions in my view before the club makes a signing. I imagine some of you will disgree and say a good player should be able to fit in. However,  for example, a striker who gets his goals by standing still and getting the ball served correctly to him is going to fail in a team that has no one to provide that service. Or a few years ago when we had 2 good defenders and we sold one and the other was never much good after that. I'm sure someone will come up with the names.
Also relevant in my view is hierarchy in a team. Leader, sub leader(s) and the rest. Leader needs to have the respect of the others and any new player needs to fit into that.
Do players have to be exciting? Would be nice but at the moment we need doers who will win matches. Defenders who keep clean sheets and forwards who score goals. How they do that doesn't matter. Just do it and get us on the next rung of the ladder, the championship.
Who are those players?

So we need a keeper who can keep & players up top who can score.
Why did we let McLaughlin go ? ......& not just he didn't accept our offer.

From the Echo.
The 32-year-old swapped the Stadium of Light for Ibrox last week having turned down the offer of a new contract on Wearside.

And having signed a two-year deal with the Scottish giants, McLaughlin is hoping to be handed further opportunities within the national set-up.
While he is a regular in the Scotland squad, the stopper only has two caps to his name – but believes playing in England was to his detriment.
Was he on a high wage?
Did management feel he could be replaced with equal quality at a lower cost?
We have a good goalkeeper in Lee Burge.
He was offered a new deal, he was the one to turn it down.

I dont understand the fuss over big Jon, first division in England or one of Scotland's top teams in his homeland, no brainer to me.

He came to us for glory and triumphant return to championship then prem.

He did his bit, others did not, good luck Jon and thanks for tying.

People are narked because they see it as selling our best players. To me, he's just one and we have another keeper who is as good.

We want the type of players who Roy Keane would sign. Players who would run through brick walls for the club. 100% committed who will buy into SAFC like SNQ did.

Spot on for me he done his job well started to get a bit ropey over the last few games he has gone, so we all shout give youth a chance so this is the chance to find an up and coming player either from our own ranks or a keeper from a team in the leagues above us that has been cast aside.
The recruitment needs to be looked at in depth.
The only decent player to make it from the youth side and is still with us is Denver Hume to me that is just not good enough.
