18 to go. Do you think that's a lot? I think that's a lot. A bit of explanation on plans for the academy and the U23s wouldn't go amiss. Where did it go wrong? What have the club learned from having to do this? How can we do better in future?

Jordan Henderson and Jordan Pickford are the only two I can remember doing very well and maybe Maja.

I read a lot about this young player and that young player but they just seem to go.

Sunderland AFC today confirmed it’s retained list for the 2020-21 season.
After impressing throughout a two-year spell at the Stadium of Light, Chris Maguire will remain on Wearside for the upcoming campaign after the club took up a one-year option in the forward’s contract.
As previously announced, Jon McLaughlin and Tom Flanagan have both been offered new contracts, while under-23 regulars Brandon Taylor, Jordan Hunter and Benji Kimpioka have also been offered extensions.
20-year-old goalkeeper Anthony Patterson has agreed a new deal.
The club would like to thank those leaving the club at the end of their contracts for their service and wish them well for the future.

The big surprise to me is Sammut, on the odd occasion he was played he looked very calm and controlled on the ball and had a vision that is missing from many others in the current midfield.
