Don't know how true it is but I'm reading reports that the club are in talks to sell Bali Mumba to Norwich for around £500,000....thoughts?

A difficult one, it is great to bring young players through but for SAFC the focus has to be promotion next year. The team needs to be robust and in the main have quality and experience to do it. That puts the youngsters on the fringe of things.
So, if it’s first team games Mumba and Kimpioka want we should put them out to loan in League 2 or sell them with add on clauses that give us a genuine long term value.

I would let him go, he may be the new Kante but more likely not!

What's our academy for?
What happened to the Dortmund model?

This is just another example of getting rid of young talent at the earliest opportunity. no forward thinking. He should have been given more chances in the first team to prove himself. He's played for England at 4 different age groups.

If the team need quality, robustness and experience - who are they? The same ones that have failed us for the last 2 seasons?

Sunderland have for too long been too scared to use youth. No wonder our academy leaks players.

Embleton will be next.
