Accrington have won their last 3. (playing Rotherham) No pressure on them. That would be my hope for one of the top teams dropping points.

Coventry have some tough games coming up which I would not fancy.  Out of what is left of the season''s games should make us the ones to watch.  They are all pressure now.

The comfort for me is we are not playing great and winning through out fighting the oppo and I can still see us kicking on with some good performances.

I'm be there and Tuesday but unfortunately will be missing for the Gillingham game. That's the only home game I'll miss this season so I may have to make up for it with a grip to Rotherham for our last game.

Sunderland v Bristol Rovers Empty Re: Sunderland v Bristol Rovers

Post  cyprussyd on 2020-02-21, 12:51 pm

Phil Parkinson believes his players head into Saturday’s Sky Bet League One encounter against Bristol Rovers in the best possible frame of mind.
Sunderland have lost just one of their last 13 matches, a run which has seen them take seven clean sheets in their last eight games – a record bettered by no other side in the top four tiers of English football.
The Black Cats have also got themselves to within three points of Rotherham United at the summit following their latest run of three successive victories, but Parkinson knows now isn’t the time for complacency.
Drawing on previous experience of the business stage of the season, the Sunderland boss has called for his players to maintain the high standards they’ve set in recent times and build on the positivity that’s flowing around the city.
“There can be no drop in standards in training or on a matchday,” he said. “Everyone in and around the top six are on good runs, but we have got to concentrate on ourselves.
“We had a good week last week and we have trained well so far and now we have got to take that into Saturday’s game.
“We have got to believe we can get there. Our recent run suggests we can.”
He continued: “It is now up to us to be as good as anybody else in the pack between now and the end of the season. We have to maintain our standards – that has to be the aim.
“The supporters have responded to the effort they have seen on the pitch.
“When the supporters see that there are a group of players who are honest and committed, they will stay with us.
“There is nothing better for a player than to look forward to playing at home.
“We have now got a squad which is driving towards that one goal.”

Everything points to a home win. Us in good form. Them having only 1 win away in the last 15 away games. However this is SAFC  and anything can and probably will happen.

Personally I am going for us to hammer them and get our goal difference significantly improved.

Not a bad morning here in Spennymoor but I think it may be the calm before the storm, expecting a cold, wet and windy day at the SoL and I'm also expecting all three points.

Have a good day people wherever you are and whatever you will be doing.

Regarding a storm it is extremely windy here today. Get Semanyo n Duncan on and run the ball with pace on the ground.

No pressure on Bristol Rovers. We need to remember that today. They will rely on a big hoof up the pitch and pace.

Ideally game over by HT and Pompey v Fleetwood draw.

Just had a terrific hailstorm here in Seahouses - went like night for abut 10 mins but sunny and bright again now. Very, very windy and really cold out - wrap up warm everyone attending match today. I wil be on Chatbox from about 2:45 - hopefully, grandchildren willing!

We are in good form and we have to go out to win every game - but this wind may play it's part today. Still a Sunderland win for me Very Happy
