Due to Trannys beating Watford in the FA Cup like

By all accounts they had a player sent off but was allowed to be subbed  Embarassed

Watford might appeal?

That happened to us years ago in the FA Cup. Oddly enough it was against Tranmere. They had a player sent off but brought a sub on and continued playing for several minutes with 11 players on the pitch. Tranmere won the game  1 - 0. Sunderland appealed but the appeal was turned down.

Pitch is like a beach so some training at seaburn could be handy

I cant remember but its not being too young, like most on here remembering who I am is sometimes a problem. Fortunately Annette reminds me on a daily basis, my name is silly old bugger, nick name useless old bastard.

Yes, just seen Tranmere game has been moved to Wednesday - sorry safcy - I corrected you last night and you were right!!

I won't be able to do Chatbox - have an important Bowls match vs Powburn to play on Wednesday night! I can move it to top of home page before I go out though and anyone can still chat.

PP: Duncan picked up an injury on Friday when he came on. It’s nothing serious but Wednesday will probably come too soon. Griggy has been ill. He has had a virus and we have kept him away because we don’t want it to spread.
Scowen straight into squad

  • THE OPPO

Tranmere are fighting a very different battle to the Black Cats this season following their promotion, via the play-offs, to League One last term.

Sitting in the drop zone as things stand, Mellon’s men will be determined to find some form in the league after exiting the FA Cup to a strong Manchester United outfit on Sunday.

That came just days after Rovers enjoyed a Premier League scalp against Watford, defeating them 2-1 on home turf.

However, as they turn their attentions back to the league Mellon will be keen to arrest his side’s recent run which has seen them win just one of their last 10 games.

While a point against Blackpool and Southend United was secured, Rovers are yet to register a league win in 2020 – their last coming at home to AFC Wimbledon a week before Christmas.

Tranmere have also lost their two home league games at the hands of promotion contenders Coventry City and Ipswich Town.

  • FITNESS UPDATE

Duncan Watmore and Will Grigg miss the trip to Prenton Park. Watmore has been struggling with a knock picked up during Friday's game while Grigg has a virus.

New boy Josh Scowen has gone straight into Parkinson's squad along with Kyle Lafferty who has recovered from a dead leg.

Let's hope neither the pitch or the ref have an impact on the result - unless it's to our advantage of course.
