LOAN-TO-BUY
Ryan Christie to Sunderland: Jack Ross’ side ready to offer Celtic ace a route out of Parkhead

SunSport understands Ross hopes to tie up a loan deal with a view to signing the Scotland international permanently in January

SUNDERLAND are ready to offer Ryan Christie a route out of Celtic.
SunSport understands Jack Ross hopes to tie up a loan deal for the 23-year-old with a view to signing him permanently in January.

Although the transfer window is closed south of the border, clubs can still take players on loans.
Christie, who spent the last season and a half with Aberdeen, is out of contract next summer and won’t be given a new deal.

The Scotland international, a £500,000 buy from Inverness back in 2015, came off the bench in the Champions League qualifiers against Alashkert and Rosenborg but hasn’t been involved

Celtic want to recoup as much of their outlay on Christie as they can so will listen to offers.
And a loan-to-buy arrangement with the English League One side would suit both parties.

Another midfielder.. from Celtic/Aberdeen appears to be on the radar.

Nothing about the 3rd or 4th striker.. I.e Maja, Wyke, Sinclair plus ?

If he already knows the Aberdeen lads I think thats a big pull.

If he wants ambition I hope he decides to come here.
