SPELLING Empty SPELLING

Post  Guest on 2014-06-06, 8:54 pm

I went to Diamond Hall School, never passed my eleven plus [ that was an exam ] never got any O levels, A levels etc etc.

Joined the Royal Air Force, after many a laboring job, and , and forty years later a respected engineer.

But my spelling sometimes lets me down, especially on this site, starting or responding to posts.

IE. gateau, privelEge,dessert. [ nearly got them wrong again ]

I always have to look them up , just to see if Ive got them correct, and theres many many more, Long time ago, bob a jobbing for the cubs, we used to get a shilling for a job, 5p in todays terms, you could be working all day for 5p, or just take a dog for a walk, anyway I digress, a lovely lady, for whom I was cleaning her coal shed, asked me,,,,,," how do you spell trousers, or is it trowsers" At eleven years old being asked for help by an adult, was the best thing ever, and the letter she was writing, would have had the correct spelling.

Back to the post,,,,,,,,,CAN YOU SPELL?
