Possible Appeal? Empty Possible Appeal?

Post  Jerry the Jinx on 2014-04-28, 7:37 pm

Just been on the radio about AFC Wimbledon being deducted points for fielding an ineligible player, and made me think.
If we stay up, do you think any of the relegated clubs might appeal against the fact we weren't deducted points for the Ji fiasco?

It's been and gone and dealt with by the FA, thing is we brought it to their attention and didn't wait to be caught. Not sure about the Wimbledon one but, I'm guessing they didn't inform the FA about their "mistake"

It has been raised on our board on not606, the only response I have seen is "No, we didn't want QPR to lose points for us to become champions, nor do we want to stay up at the expense of Sunderland, who have earned their chance of safety!

Good lads we have in Norfolk!

 Very Happy

The report on BBC website doesn't give any detail on how he was ineligible or how it was discovered
Just wondered giving the financial implications of being relegated, if we do stay up, whether any club would see it as an opportunity to stay in the league at our expense?
tbh, don't know if any of the clubs tried it if the FA would just ignore it as incident has been dealt with, or if they would be obliged to listen to an appeal.
If they have to listen to an appeal, how long would it take and what would be the implications on pre-season awaiting the outcome?

Yes I know - I'm just borrowing trouble  Shocked

    2. Petition by
      Matthew Rever
      High Wycombe, United Kingdom

For the first 4 games of this season AFC Sunderland fielded an ineligible player (Ji Dong-Won) and only escaped with a fine. AFC Wimbledon, Oxford City FC and Harrogate Town FC were all given points deductions for the exact same offence. How is that fair? They also fielded the player against MK Dons in the 2nd round of the Capital One cup which they then went on to reach the final. I don't see how you can have one rule for one team and a different rule for the others. Please sign this petition to help justice be served. Many thanks.

No twist syd it's like pleading guilty to a crime you get a lighter sentence than if you plead not guilty and are found guilty.

Some people have very little to do in life it seems but fill it with attempting to cause grief for others
