In the Bagg? Moyes needs a good result against West Bromwich Albion

Manchester United face West Bromwich Albion this weekend hoping that they will avoid the curse of West Bromwich Albion.

For the Throstles are the subject of an alarming statistic that has seen SIX Premier League managers in the last two years leave their job after a game with the Hawthorns club.

Mick McCarthy started the ball rolling in February 2012 when Wolves lost 5-1 at home to their local rivals.

A month later, Andre Villas-Boas was given the shove by Chelsea after a Gareth McAuley goal handed WBA a victory . His replacement, Roberto Di Matteo, would also met his end after defeat to Albion in November that same year.

Fast-forward to May 2013 and both Manchester clubs would fall victim; City dispensing with Roberto Mancini's services despite winning 1-0 and United saying farewell to Sir Alex Ferguson with a 5-5 draw acting as a memorable final match.

This season the Baggies have accounted for just one Premier League manager, Paolo Di Canio, but if David Moyes loses heavily then the curse could once more rear its ugly head.
