With the changing names of leagues in 1992 and 2004 we refer to the levels of the Football League by their current names, for example Sunderland won the equivalent of what is now 'The Championship' in 1976 when back then it was called The Second Division.

the 1912-13 season was remarkable because our dreadful start but if we had won the cup instead of Villa we would have done the double. incidentally they were league runners up

Just noticed that it was today April 19th that we lost that FA Cup final to Villa in 1913.
So it's played in 4, won 2, lost 2.
