Week 1

Post  Mackemneil on Tue Aug 20, 2013 10:13 am

Even if week 1 turns out to be only friendlies and doesn't contribute to the league, it has been interesting to see the teams in action and the selections made for the opening fixtures. Remembering, of course, that the Chelsea - Villa match is still to come.

Real Sunderland looked to have made an impressive start with 78 points to date, the main contributions coming from a forward line of Benteke, Van Persie and Bony and a stunning display from our 'old boy' Mignolet. There are nearly 2.6 million teams entered in the Fantasy Football League and Real Sunderland are currently 7,240th, very good but a long way to go though!!

Second best are Soccerstylin with 68 points playing against the unlucky Mackempizzaboys on 46 (my team are always unlucky if they lose).

A lot of the games are still pretty close with a lot of above average (43 points) scores.

A more extensive report next week when the league gets going for real .... good luck.bounce

Cheers Neil.

I got a credible 63 points, let down by only SAFC player.

Onwards and upwards.

Johnson got me a measly 2 points, mind 3 of my 4 defenders only got me 4 points between them...

Good old Mig and Van Persie save the day.

Some fantastic scoring folks and some amazing results following the Chelsea v Aston Villa result, thanks to Benteke and Ivanovic. Benteke is top points scorer and Mignolet hasn't done badly either. bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce
