It is quite amusing watching this car crash, but I do feel sorry for the many genuine and decent Newcastle supporters, who certainly deserve better.

I can just see it ...  Ashley and Kinnear out in the casino on Saturday night/ Sunday morning after a night on the drink. Ashley says to Joe " I've got a terrible problem with Pardew and Carr not speaking and Llambias is useless, Don't know what to do, any ideas?" Joe says "Yes my old drinking buddy, make me Director of Football and all your problems will go away". Ashley says "Brilliant, why did I not think of that? Have a 3 year contract!" Lo and behold a day later one problem is solved, with Llambias resigning, only the other two to sort out now. I give it another week or so and Carr will be gone. Pardew may last till the season starts, but will be surprised if he is still there at Christmas.

Ooh, I see the emoticons are back on the right where I can actually see them, and their little text descriptions. Thank you forum developers!! XXXX

Pardew fears Newcastle exodus following Cabaye's fury over Kinnear's controversial 'Kebab' and 'Ben Afra' gaffes.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2346129/Alan-Pardew-fears-Newcastle-exodus-faces-losing-Yohan-Cabaye-Hatem-Ben-Arfa-Joe-Kinnears-gaffe.html

Sportsmail can reveal that France midfielder Yohan Cabaye, one of the club’s most influential players, is furious that Kinnear called him ‘Kebab’ in Monday’s interview on talkSPORT.

Cabaye, 27, has been away with his national team in South America and learned of the director of football’s mispronunciation of his surname upon his return this week.

Fresh battle: Alan Pardew faces a potential player exodus
Big-spending French clubs Paris Saint-Germain and newly-promoted Monaco are both willing to take advantage of the crisis and sign the former Lille midfielder.

Cabaye hinted during France’s tour last week that he would be willing to move, but that was before Kinnear’s disastrous interview.

Pardew does not want to let his best players leave the club, but he is aware of the friction caused by Kinnear’s erratic outing on the airwaves.

Pardew fears his stars will use Kinnear’s ignorance to force a move before the start of the season.

Kebab and Ben Afra: Joe Kinnear mispronounced the players' names during a high-profile interview

The Newcastle manager met with the club’s new director of football earlier this week to thrash out a working relationship before they begin pre-season training.

They pulled out of a move for Brazilian defender Douglas earlier this week after Kinnear refused to sanction his arrival on a free transfer.

Kinnear now has total control over transfers in and out of St James’ Park following his controversial appointment by owner Mike Ashley.

And Newcastle also face a battle to hold on to winger Hatem Ben Arfa after Kinnear called the Newcastle player ‘Ben Afra’ during the incredible broadcast.

Controversial: Joe Kinnear's return to Newcastle had been predicted by no one
Sammy Ameobi has also expressed consternation after Kinnear stumbled over his name.

He tweeted: ‘Wow at least get my name right’ after learning of Kinnear’s regrettable interview.

The former Wimbledon and Nottingham Forest manager insists he is in sole control of football matters after managing director Derek Llambias quit the club in disgust.

Meanwhile, Cheick Tiote appeared in court on Friday charged with a string of motoring offences, among them using a false Belgian driving licence and fraud.

Tiote, who turned 27 on Friday, is accused of using the allegedly false document as a form of ID ‘to establish personal information’ about himself in December.

In court: Cheick Tiote has been accused of several alleged driving offences
In addition, the Ivory Coast midfielder is accused of making a false statement to obtain insurance in September 2011 by allegedly claiming that he held a full driving licence without endorsements.

He is further charged with driving his Chevrolet, with the personalised plate T10 TEV, in Newcastle in February without a licence or insurance.

No pleas were entered and Tiote was granted unconditional bail and will appear at Newcastle Crown Court on July 5.

Graham Carr, being conned, or not?

Graham Carr has been talked out of leaving Newcastle.

The chief scout was considering his future on Tuesday night when he was overruled in the potential transfer of Douglas to Newcastle.
Carr had watched the central defender for more than 12 months and attempted to push through a deal at the start of the week.
However new director of football Joe Kinnear blocked the incoming transfer of Douglas, who was available on a free transfer after running down his contract at FC Twente in Holland.
At that point Carr, who had been given assurances that his role would not be dramatically altered, realised he had been undermined and his role weakened by the appointment of Kinnear and was contemplating walking away from the club.
The 68-year-old Geordie, who signed an eight-year contract this time last year, had to be talked out of leaving.
Managing director Derek Llambias however, believed his position untenable and he resigned on Wednesday morning.
Carr has been given assurances about his position but there remains the potential for more conflict during the forthcoming months as Kinnear looks to change Newcastle's squad of players.
..........................................................

A bloody good scout by the way
