Another from ROKER REPORT.

David Moberg-Karlsson to have medical after Sunderland agree deal with Swedish side.

ith Cabral, Modibo Diakite, Valentin Roberge, Duncan Watmore and El-Hadji Ba all in place to sign for Sunderland officially on July 1, it appears as if the overhaul of the playing squad is continuing at a pace, with reports coming out of Sweden tonight saying Sunderland have agreed terms with IFK Göteborg over the transfer of David Moberg-Karlsson.
According to Aftonbladet, Moberg-Karlsson will travel to the North East tomorrow to undergo his medical before signing for Paolo Di Canio's side, with the fee estimated to be around £1.5m.
Moberg-Karlsson is a 19-year-old striker who has played 10 times for Göteborg this season, scoring twice. The 5'10" striker, who is a Swedish u-19 international, started his career with IFK Mariestad and made a handful of appearances as a 16-year-old before he was snapped up by Göteborg.
Given his debut in the Allsvenkan against Djurgården when he was only 17, Moberg-Karlsson is noted for being quick and explosive with good technical abilities.
With this transfer being close to completion, it appears as if our new Director of Football is making his mark on the club already, as he's considered to be an expert on Scandinavian football and with Angeloni known to concentrate on signing younger players, our new transfer policy has already made a significant impact on the squad.
Although it's likely that Moberg-Karlsson will initially start in the development squad, like Ba and Watmore, it can only help the first team if we have highly rated youngsters pushing the senior players hard for a spot in the starting XI.

Was never too fussed about Wiki, although he scores for Englands youngans, he never looked likely to be a great SAFC striker. Maybe a change of club will bring his talents to the fore. Then again maybe not. It is possible that PDC can fire him up. Be great if he can, but not holding my breath.

Rather sell him than loan him.

I can't see another Premier Club signing him (yet)

Who in the championship has money to splash ?

I'm sure Sheff Wed would have him back again  (on loan)
