On Saturday we welcome 16th place Lincoln City to the SoL to hopefully continue our mini revival with a win and three points.

How does a fan not know that the team is not announced until an hour before kick-off?

Normally that is correct, we get to know the team 1 hour before kick off, but we all know that PP tells our syd the team 24 hours in advance to get his approval or to allow him to suggest any changes that could be made.

Of course being the sly devil he is syd, when he tells us the team he would pick, makes a few alterations to the chosen XI just to confuse the opposition.

I was at my local Indian Restaurant last night and bumped into a group of 'Barmy Army' here for the Cricket.

Subject got onto football and by coincidence they were Lincoln supporters.

They could not believe how bad we had got.

Anyway on leaving wished them all the best for today, hoping that we were going to get the 3pts.

Assistant boss Steve Parkin has confirmed Sunderland have no injury concerns going into Saturday’s Sky Bet League One meeting with Lincoln City.
The Black Cats face their fourth game in nine days this weekend when the Imps visit the Stadium of Light for the first time in their history.
Determined to extend the Lads’ unbeaten run to five games over the festive period, Parkin revealed at today’s press conference that the manager has pretty much a fully fit squad to choose from despite the hectic schedule of matches.
“Everyone is good,” he told the media.
“We have a few bumps and bruises and a little bit of a cold knocking about, but everyone is fit and well.
“We’re all raring to go this Saturday.”
He continued: It is an important game for us because we feel as though we did enough to win our last home game on Boxing Day against Bolton.
“We had a goal chalked off which was bitterly disappointing for us and I think everyone has since seen it and realised that it should’ve been a goal.

Got distracted and missed second half - poorly daughter and grand-daughter - but we won and certainly first half I listened to sounded great. Well done lads - another win and we may well be in play off zone and potentially only 3 points from automatic promotion. Amazing what a few decent results can do to the League Table isn't it? Very Happy

Results are improving, no McGeedy, maybe he is the bad egg people say he is.

Game over at half time.
Took it easy 2nd half and conserved energy.

Parky in I say.

Great support from Lincoln. At least 3000 there.

Love it when a plan comes together.  Lincoln not the strongest, but no pushovers either.  Heartening start to run in period.

Yeah I was surprised at the Lincoln support. Good on them. (Not meant to be as patronising as that sounds!)

A great first half but poor second. I'm a very happy bunny tonight though. Who wouldn't have taken a 3-1 win? Keep up the good work lads.
