JACK COLBACK and Rolando Aarons are the high-profile absentees from the Newcastle United squad list that has been submitted to the Premier League.
With the transfer window now closed, Steve Bruce had to submit a squad of 25 players that he will use this season.
The Magpies boss always knew he would have to leave some of his players out of the group, and Colback and Aarons are the two biggest names to have failed to have made the cut.

Colback - no. Don't need another midfielder that won't offer anything additional to current players.
Aarons sounds OK although not seen him - pace and technical ability apparently.

Colback did a great job for us at left back

I can't even remember what he was like there. I guess Ross is looking for someone who can play wingback.

I suspect your original post might have been to make a provocation about taking on Newcastle players but I wouldn't look at this - it's whether they can add anything, what are the likely wages and the liklihood of either continuous improvement with us or increasing value to sell on. Not sure Colback would tick enough boxes for me.

Amichibee has suggested he's open to a Sunderland return. If he's fit I'd love to see it.

Yes he gives us something we need and on the right deal it seems a win win to me

^^^^^^^^^ this but yes if we can get the right deal.

Would it upset team spirit? How would our present strikers feel?
