Sunderland AFC’s 2019-20 squad numbers have been revealed ahead of the League One season.
The club’s five summer signings have all been allocated their respective numbers, with several players also trading and exchanging ahead of the new campaign.
Northern Ireland international Conor McLaughlin was the first new face through the Academy of Light doors, and the defender will take on the no.2 shirt vacated by Adam Matthews.
Two former Coventry City men were next on Jack Ross’ hitlist, and after swapping sky blue for red and white, Lee Burge will wear no.16 and Jordan Willis will sport no.4, with Glenn Loovens switching to no.24.
Marc McNulty and George Dobson were next to sign up, with the on-loan Reading forward snapping up the no.10 shirt, as Dobson opted for no.18.
Several players have also switched numbers ahead of the new season, with the most notable seeing Max Power, who previously wore no.27, securing the no.6 shirt.
After returning from a successful 2018-19 loan with Grimsby Town, Elliot Embleton will sport no.17, with Benji Kimpioka switching from no.48 to no.31.

More than happy with that squad. Experience in McGeady n Leds. Good goalie. The young & hungry lads and some damn fine midfielders.

I sincerely hope Grigg n Wyke get the breaks this season but more than happy to have/give McNulty & Benji a chance if needed.

ITS BACK. FOOTY IS BACK. YEEHAW.

No one has been given the number 3 shirt. Maybe another signing is planned to replace Oviedo.

In Ross's pre game conference he identified a left back as a possibility
