Sunderland AFC’s provisional Sky Bet League One fixtures for the 2019-20 season have been released, with Jack Ross’ side to start the campaign on home soil.
The Lads will begin the season by hosting Oxford United at the Stadium of Light on Saturday 3 August, as they face the first of six league games to played in the first month of the campaign.
A first away trip is scheduled to take place the following week, and it’s a big one, as the Black Cats head to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town.
And the big games keep on coming in August, with Ross’ side set to take on 2018-19 promotion challengers Portsmouth (H) and Peterborough United (A) before the month is out.
After breaking records in 2018, Boxing Day football is once again coming to Wearside, with Bolton Wanderers heading to the SoL for a Christmas cracker.
The Lads will host Accrington Stanley in their penultimate 2019-20 outing, before wrapping things up away to Rotherham United on Saturday 3 May.
*It should be noted that all of the dates listed are provisional and subject to change as the season unfolds.

I bloody hope not!

After what's been said this last week I would like to see us win the Championship at home, on April 13th Easter Monday, against Peterborough and coast the last few games. Now that would be very un-Sunderland like! Very Happy

That was a nap really thinking about it. So much for random computerised fixture generation. Bet we are on the Friday night on telly too.

Looked at Christmas period and we have three away and one home - not fair on our travelling supporters but not surprising as the gods of the EFL will want full grounds for those - some of these we wll deffo be on TV though

21st December Away to Bury
26th December Home to Bolton
29th December Away to Doncaster
1st January Away to Fleetwood

On 4th January Home to Lincoln if not in FA CUP.

Will certainly look to get tickets for the opening match - should be an interesting season ahead.
