Welcome and I'm sure we will all make it a fantastic day, your fans would need to be mass murders to outdo the disgust we feel for Portsmouth fans after our last two games so for us it has to be a step up.

We also have one massive advantage, Micky Gray is now a pundit so cant take any penalties.

For me its an absolute miracle that we are in the final considering the club that the new owners and manager walked into.

We are a big club in fan base, training facilities and stadium but on the pitch we are in the main a division one club and the final will be fought out by two division one teams, good teams but div one all the same.

The one thing we do hove is a never say die squad of players.

I met a charlton supporter at Roker park 1978
Took him for pre match drinks
We have been family friends since.
He has been up here a few times with his family and attended matches and we have been down their
We met up at Wembley 1998 for the playoff final.
I’ve only seen them once since 2009 but still senChristmas cards

Welcome, yes where have those 21 years gone? Lots of ups and downs for both clubs in that time.

Our league form has not been so good hence why we didn't make automatic promotion but against Portsmouth we did what we had to do and I see the same against Charlton.

Wembley and Trafalgar Square will be rocking - hope all the pubs stock up cos Sunderland are coming to town!

Well if the Final lives up to the two league games we have played this season it should be some spectacle....some fans talk of revenge and a penalty win for us this time Evil or Very Mad ...I just want to see a good game and hopefully a win for us Wink

Sunderland will wear their black away kit for next Sunday's League One play-off final at Wembley.
Charlton's penalty shoot-out win over Doncaster on Friday night means a repeat of the 1998 First Division play-off, when the Addicks also won on penalties.

However, with both sides wearing red - or in Sunderland's case red-and-white - one side will have to wear the change kit.
And due to the fact Charlton finished higher up in League One than Sunderland - third to the Wearsiders' fifth - it's Jack Ross' side who will have to change.
It was a similar story in 98 when Peter Reid's Black Cats wore their gold away kit, although Sunderland fans will be hoping for a different outcome to 21 years ago when, after a thrilling 4-4 draw, they suffered penalty agony.
In q
1998 we were third and still changed our strip
So that statement and reason is wrong

How are your ticket sales going? We only have 4000 left, looks like we will sell out.
