obvious lack of quality in both sides - if either team does end up getting promoted they are going to have to make a lot of changes.

Bloody well done folks.  I feared the worst for you, some of the Portsmouth players looked like they were recruited from the Game Of Thrones.

I was not as nervous as I thought I would be and got quietly more confident as the game progressed. We were well in control and Ross got the tactics spot on to stop them from making chances - and when they did get close McLoughlin was always there.

Well done lads - only one more game and we are back in the Championship - now I am nervous! affraid

I was confident we would get the result we needed.

At the gym this morning I looked out of the window and saw two magpies (no not Newcastle supporters) on the fence. And what does that poem say about magpies. One for sorrow, two for joy. I was quite happy for the rest of the day.

Fantastic night
Few highlights for me - in no particular order

  • 11 players & subs giving their all
  • On the whole pretty decent oficialling
  • Catts doing a Keano sticking up for his young team mate against the nasty big boy
  • Delight of manager and team at the final whistle
  • Superkev in studio
  • Post match interviews with Luke O'Nien and Charlie Methven
  • Amother trip to Wembley (even though I can't go)
  • Special mention to Grant Leadbetter playing such an important game the day after his mam died

Can't put into words how proud of my team I was tonight

BIB Didn't know that - very sad - but how proud his mum would have been for his performance, and the way all the lads tonight did what was needed, very professionally.

Post match interview with Jon Mclaughlin was great too - very articulate - a career in punditry awaits him if he wants it after he retires.
