Looking forward to getting back to winning ways on Saturday and Ross has already said that Cattermole, Mcgeady and Morgan will be back.

I would also bring back Oviedo and the marmite like Honeyman, just think we are better with him.

Out would go Hume, Matthews, Power and Gooch

Cattermole and Leadbitter to be a defence two in front of the CB to give some protection and I would be very tempted to drop Wyke and Grigg and start with Sterling and his pace.

So my starting 11..

MGLAUGHLIN
ONIEN  OZTURK  FLANAGAN  OVIEDO
CATTERMOLE  LEADBITTER
MORGAN  HONEYMAN  MCGEADY
STERLING

That said I think Wyke will start in place of Sterling.

I know that, Syd, but I've seen Sky advertising it as being on sundoo . . . . very confusing Wink

I think I read that the games were switched to make our game the Saturday night one. The might of Sky must be obeyed you know tongue

Having said that I prefer evening games to lunchtime kick offs.

Sunderland have handed Portsmouth an allocation of just 2,000 tickets for Saturday's play-off semi-final - following an incident at the pair's previous meeting at the Stadium of Light.

Is it Sky or SAFC requested the game change time? I believe there is a planned 5k race in Sunderland over the weekend and roads will be closed.

Many would have Maguire for Honeyman and I can see why but, I am one of those rae beasts, an Honeyman fan.

I like Honeyman too but I'd put Maguire in for this. He's one of the few coming out of the last game with any credit, I think he'll support Wyke better and have more of a chance of scoring himself.

Just under 20,000 tickets sold so far, very disappointing IMO

Well, who's confident?

I'm hoping to see Sunderland back to their best and taking the game to Portsmouth. A first half of the sort we saw at Wembley would be OK but with more Sunderland goals. I am expecting that decent start, then a nervy period, then piling on more pressure at the end. I think we'll win but I'm very nervous about it at the same time.

My confidence has returned.

I think we are two closely matched teams but over the 2 legs I see us winning Pompey and then beating Donny in the final.

I also think the Pompey players will take turns to foul McGeady hoping to put him out of the game whilst hopefully keeping their fouls to mere bookings and not sendings off.

If this game was happening a couple of months ago i would feel very different but now Charlton have the best form in the league over the last 8 games and portsmouth are second behind them whereas Sunderland are in the bottom half of that table

i tend to be a glass half empty sort of person so I see 1-1 at home and 1-0 loss away - I just think Portsmouth will be too physical/aggressive

I will open Chatbox any second now if anyone not at the game is interested. I am really, really nervous about this game so a 3-0 lead at half time )to us!) would help A LOT!
