Sunderland v Doncaster Rovers
Good Friday
KO 17.15
Live on Sky

Well its not far from the time for the talking to stop and the action to start.
Massive game, must win, 6 pointer all are true in this game and the ones to follow, no slips, no off days just focus and win.

The problem is that each opponent will have the same mindset starting with Doncaster who sit in the final play off place, Peterbourgh are 5 points behind them with a game in hand, would hate to be playing Peterbourgh on Monday, what was that, we do, oh shit.

Pleased when its over and we can enjoy a relaxing game against Portsmouth.

Whitfields chemists in Coxhoe have ordered extra heart tablets.

Assuming we win then win again on Monday I would expect a massive crowd for Pompy, our last game and what could well e the decider. Maybe even the premier concourse open again.

I wouldn't be too upset with that although it would be great if McGeady makes a remarkable recovery.

Every game this season where we've gone an early goal down I've shrugged my shoulders and thought so what, we'll come back. No nerves at all. If it happens tomorrow, that will be a different matter.

I would be surprised if this is the team Vinck, that's why I asked could it be in the hope that others would give their starting 11 and subs.

Seems it was a hope to far.

Never mind that Syd - sort the weather out up there tomorrow will you? It's scorchio in North Yorks but they reckon only about 12 degrees in Sunderland tomorrow.

I'm not optimistic about tomorrow.... sorry Syd.

I think we will revert to just one up front ... resting Grigg...
to make us hard to beat.
Am sure our lads will give their all once again in effort, but there appears to be a lot of tired legs.
I will settle for thumping Donnie  one nil.

The pressure has been building for a few weeks and the Coventry game deflated all of us.
Yes its just one game and yes we still have it in our hands but Fridays game is the real start of a massive three games that could cement our season so the pressure and nerves are raw.

Dropping Grigg may be a good move because we need energetic runners to work off Wyke while at the same time protecting our back 4, that for me means Catts must play.

I have Honeyman on the bench but I will be happy to be wrong on that, many call him but I like him.

I cant see it being a relaxing evening for us, at the stadium, in the pub or listening on the radio we will all be biting our nails.

I said I had a bad feeling about the Coventry game and I do so again. If Donny have done their homework they know pace and umping the ball up to marquis will destroy us.

I am hoping I am 100% wrong and our centre backs have discovered what a football is and how to pass it again. Hoping Mcgeady, McGuire are back and we just go for it from the outset.

Had manflu this week hence not been on much and as gutted as I am will not be attneding tonights game. Still lethargic and cannot be arsed.

Like silvers says a sound 1-0 thrashing will suffice.

Well I hope you feel better soon but dont worry, whatever homework Doncaster will have done remember that Ross will have done his.

I dont see many changes in the starting 11, McGready wont make the bench but Maguire will and Catts will start with one change in the back 4, wont be shocked to see two changes there. I thing we will also see a change in formation, a very nervy win for us.

Annette had a bad fall on Wednesday and her normal pain in stomach, back and legs is very bad so right now I am 60/40 of making game, I want to and Annette wants me to but Sky makes any decision that much easier.

BTW, Big Jon will have a blinder today.

Re big john, or big mac as I call him. as of late his decision making and his clearences have worsened. At Wembley him being in no mans land gifted them a goal. And many a time in league games his passing out to full backs has created problems for the whole defence as none of our defenders are much cop at passing. Something for Ross to work on.

He has been a massive plus for us this season but his distribution always has been woeful. Nor sure if that is up to JR to put that right but what are the goalkeeping coaches getting paid for?
