For tea today I fancied sausage tatie and cabbage. had a couple of Cumberland sausages slowly cooking in the pan. Had a decent size tatie ready to put in the microwave and had got myself a Red cabbage.
When my wife cooked cabbage, once the water was up to the boil she would put in a very small amount of bicarb in,  this got the water bubbling and gave the cabbage a rich green colour.
Ok so far, now you have to visualize this. white plate, nicely browned sausages roughly crushed taties and a heap of dark BLUE cabbage. Looked very odd but tasted very nice.

Now I have a quandary, do I see you as a Gordon Ramsey, Jamie Oliver or Delia Smith?

OK Delia, I know the answer
