Brain Trust Time Empty Brain Trust Time

Post  sunderpitt on 2019-02-11, 10:10 am

I shudder to think how many centuries in total the regular posters on here have watched Sunderland. So as Lord Syd of Coxhoe regularly has meaningful moments with senior management at Sunderland.. what advice do we pass on.

We are currently in a bit of a rut , with too many draws, scoring at least one goal but also conceding..

We have a very good keeper, a decent back four, 2 DMs, 2 wingers, a floating midfielder and a striker.

So do we change formation back 3 and two overlapping full backs, Ovideo being one, two out and out strikers, O9 as a CM?

It does take time for a team to gel... however if we are to get automatic promotion we need to go on a winning run.. 3 games at home are next.

Personally I am not sure a would change things too much.. lets see if Gregg's can start scoring.. Mcgeady is creative and needs to play... Wyke us atm a dud...the young loan player from Spuds should be given a chance.

So although there is a lot of moaning about changing formation/tactics I am not sure I would change things radically.. just do what we are doing better.. ie create more chances to score

I'm not sure there's a need for 2 defensive midfielders so I'd get another attacking one in there instead. Ross says it's too simplistic to say we need two centre forwards but I'm simple and like the idea. The only way Grigg will score or anyone else in that position is if the service improves and they're not isolated. I don't think Wyke is a right-off, we just haven't got the best out of him. He could work well with Grigg and another attacking midfielder may improve service, but basically, we need 12 players on the pitch.

I'm blaming the site this time rather than my incompetence.

I was sure I posted the same thing twice again. Maybe Syd's been doing some back door activity.
