No not us scalawags, our leaders,

Owner                            Stewart Donald

Director                           Juan Sartori

Executive Director         Charlie Methven

Finance Director            Angela Lowes

Managing Director         Tony Davison

Director                            Neil Fox

Manager                           Jack Ross

Well I guess that most like me only know how a few of them are doing, Stewart Donald, Juan Sartori, Charlie Methven and of course Jack Ross.

With clubs debts and running costs slashed it would seem that the off field work is going well and lets not forget just how well. Rodwell, Dilobodji and N'Dong are gone along with many of the players who did so well for us an achieved relegation not once but twice. The stadium looks new, refreshed and a place to be proud of so I guess that we are doing well and doing it a lot quicker than any of us expected.

Donald's honesty and transparency is fantastic and along with Methen's PR work the vast majority of Sunderland's fans feel like they are again valued and part of the club.

So marks out of ten for me for the off field efforts is a 9, there will always be room for improvement.

But how about Mr Ross and his staff, how are they doing?

Well I read and indeed see some slight critic about performance, team selection and tactics and I can see why.

But we sit 4th with games in hand and have enjoyed what in my opinion one of the best transfer windows we have had. To take a twice relegated squad, or what was left of it and turn it into a winning confident highly motivated team is for me nothing short of miraculous.

12 months ago we lost out top scorer and replaced him on deadline day with an unproven young man then pit a massive pressure on his back, it failed.

In January we had some déjà vu and lost our top scorer we replaced him with a young man with potential from Spurs plus a proven scorer, that alone showed our progress.

We still are a first division team with a nice stadium but we are also sitting in a good place in the league and one game away from Wembley, we would have taken that at season end last year.

So again 9 out of ten from me.

Its February and we are not looking for a new manager, now that novel for Sunderland.

I have confidence in them to get us promoted as they have experience of the lower leagues aand lower league logistics and budgets.

How they would cope with the demands of a championship club remains to be seen.
Hopefully they can face this challenge sooner rather than later.

...and hopefully they will be able to meet that challenge successfully.

I know that apart from me everyone is living extremely busy lives but I can only suggest people listen to Stewart Donald's latest podcasts, it may easy concerns.
