IMHO we have not done badly... mind none of us have seen the new boys play ( apart from Leadbitter) of course

We needed a defender who was good in the air, got one

With Maja jumping ship.. we needed a couple of strikers, one proven ( who we have been chasing) and one promising youngster... good

A decent experienced midfielder and a winger who Ross knows
So although we have low funds.. Donalds done well

Probably the best looking window for some time so should be all smiles tomorrow, well until we kick off.

Yes, I think this could be the most promising window we've enjoyed for a while though the overnight wait for Griggs confirmation was a bit nervy to say the least.

It's interesting that Donald has come in for some early flack over the £4 million fee for Griggs but the boss has quickly doused those naysayers by publicly stating that the full fee only becomes payable if we achieve Premiership status, so not only has he kept his word to produce 2 strikers of but he's done it quite astutely in my opinion.

So it's a big 'Well Done Mr Donald' from me.

An absolute embarrassment from a small but very vocal minority who spent the evening tweeting abuse to Donald.

A typical tweet was spend the f*cking money you moron.

Followed by you are having the piss taken out of you when he did spend.

BTW they are not the nasty abusive ones.

One of the reasons I have no interest in Twitter - these idiots could be anyone - in fact if thats the quality of their contriibutions I would suggest they are very far from being SAFC supporters at all Crying or Very sad

Sid, I don't think there's a single SAFC fan who wouldn't be delighted to see Wigan receive the full amount within the next few years, but hey, we're getting ahead of ourselves - let's overcome the current hurdle and get out of this league before thinking of anything beyond that.

Yes, that’s true Argus.  I suppose it’s probably easier for me to look on the bright side but when I was in your position I suspect I was a little more pragmatic.

Shall I say, here’s hoping then? Smile

They ended up regretting the abuse when the true fans turned on them and as I have said before my reason for twitter is the 2800 followers of SunderMad on there.
Most of us follow and are followed by Donald and it brings a smile to my face when I see a tweet to him asking for a favor. Many seem to think that by following him he becomes your best mate.

Thank u - Absolutely no issue. It is always tough when u don't really have any idea wants going on & all the rumours fly around etc. I am sure I will have to deal with far worse in the future. Everyone has such passion & emotions run high at certain times. No need to apologise
