All points are up for grabs regardless of a matches’ location so with most football supporters saying an away point is okay, I thought I'd look up the SAFC stats (first time this season BTW).

Home                       Away
P    W   D   L   Pts      P   W   D   L   Pts
13   7   6   0   27      14   7   5   2    26

Apparently our last six matches at both home & away have produced:

Home                       Away
P  W  D   L  Pts    P  W  D  L   Pts
3  1   2   0  5       3  1   2  0   5

Ok, I'll say it if nobody else will.

Why do so many supporters celebrate an away draw as some sort of achievement when it is in fact no greater than that achieved at home?

We all new it wasn’t going to be easy
Didn’t we
We are still on track we are not loosing many and a winning run would be helpful
We have to hang in and keep putting in the the best we can
Onward and upward

Match away draws with home wins is promotion form in anybody's book.. Home displays are the ones that need addressing in more depth as goals seem to be our problem.

Very good points, however our home win percentage to date is below that of previously promoted clubs but with thankfully a loss column that's yet to be ticked   Very Happy

So "Why do so many supporters celebrate an away draw as some sort of achievement when it is in fact no greater than that achieved at home?

Surly this is only of great value when your home is truly a fortress although given the truly amazing home crowd support shown this season in record numbers, lets hope it's just around the corner if we don't sell our leading striker or goalkeeper.

My take is that any away point for safc is gratefully received as over the years they have been something of a rarity!

yep, I know we are Sunderland and it is disappointing to draw after leading but our away form, IMO, is not the problem, its home wins we need.

Too many draws?...(wish we could of said that last season).....I prefer "another game without defeat"

Yes we need to win more games if we want automatic promotion but I'm still happy with the position we're in.....the mess we were in after last season I thought we'd be lucky to hit the play offs tbh

I actually thought we would do well this season and we are quite close to being very good..but not keeping clean sheets, or closing games out or not getting the 2nd goal is costing us. Losing away to Portsmouth and drawing with Luton..

This transfer window is crucial..if we can Catts and or Ovideo leaves that should help to bring in other players up front and midfield that are needed for the final push.

I doubt the Maja saga is going to end well but atm we need him till the end of the season
