Sunderland signing Virgil Van Dijk, ready to be unveiled and everything, only for the money, 12 mil, not to be released by Ellis Short so he ended up going elsewhere is one of the most Sunderland things i've ever heard @RokerReport

I think this is old news Syd.. I and others have posted about this before.. I heard it was £8m...

Jonny Evans was also a possibility when he left Manure..

That's right it is no good thinking of what could have been!

But as SidMCFC said it is not only the duds we bought, but it also the ones that got away. If we can we need to earn from this

Where will money come from for team investment?

Hopefully our new owners are not here to asset strip.

It is a BIG step up to the Championship (Boro  5 - 0  Peterboro) but we will have to cross that bridge when we have to ! .. whenever that is...

I can answer all those questions Silvers

Where will money come from for team investment?
Donald has been very clear on this, we are banking any money made, ie cash from N'Dong deal to add to the kitty for summer window. Add in the 10 mil we get from promotion and money that Donald can invest. We also have the billionaire Juan Santori who has committed to invest when needed.

Hopefully our new owners are not here to asset strip

They obviously could be however I have seen nothing to suggest they are, indeed the very opposite.

It is a BIG step up to the Championship

It is but maybe not as big as the Boro result shows,  some lower teams beat premier teams but we dont suggest that makes us level. And I fully expect us to go up this season.
