Our current Squad
If we manage to get promoted don't think some of our squad would be up to the step up.
Do you agree? Am I way off ?

Re: Our current Squad
I think Ross has been very clear that his aim this year was to build a squad to get us out of division 1 but he is also hopeful that we will have a good number who can step up.
I fully expect some bigger signings in the summer but who we will spend on?

Re: Our current Squad
Well if Maja goes we will need to replace his goals..Wyke plus a new boy.
We need a CB who is strong in the air.
Currently we play two defensive CMs and creative forward play comes from the wings. And Maguire operating behind Maja.
if Maja plays up front off Wyke we need a creative midfielder, not two wingers?
If we get promoted, I expect a couple (at least) of quality players to be brought in.
Outs.. I personally wonder about Catts and Ovideo, not because if their ability but their wages. I am assuming Sinclair is let go asap

Re: Our current Squad
I think we have a reasonable squad with many players who could perform in the Championship however the higher the league the better the players need to be....probably another 4 to 5 players would be needed to compete comfortably next season imo

I would agree with you barrow but all I am interested in at the minute is getting back there.barrowmackem wrote:If we manage to get promoted don't think some of our squad would be up to the step up.

Then let the financial and football bods take over hoping the money is there to improve the squad.

Re: Our current Squad
Got a vague memory of Alan Brazil making a similar comment about our squad not being good enough after promotion to premier league under Peter Reid in record breaking season
IIRC Kevin Ball invited him to the club to tell the players themselves which ones he thought weren't good enough
So which one of today's players is sending the invite to Barrow?
Max Power maybe?
Back to OP - let's get there first then worry about it
