Right, I'm going in for this. Hopefully people read it & maybe the lad himself reads it too. Its not acceptable & myself or other fans wont tolerate it. @SunderlandAFC @RokerReport @ALS_Fanzine #SAFC

Report it anonymously (spelling?) to the club. Surely just giving a general area or even better their seat numbers should suffice. I am sure the stewards (plain clothes) will keep an eye on it.

That is bang out of order

A agree with Gil - it is difficult to report things at the time. This person should report these incidents to the club - give seat numbers and make sure the stewards do their job next match.

No need for the lad to be banned immediately - but maybe pull him out his seat - make him miss a match sitting in the 'cells' and perhaps he will reflect and learn the error of his ways. If unacceptable behaviour continues then a club ban can follow - to send the message we do not tolerate racism or any 'ism' at Sunderland.

But where did the lad learn his abhorrent language if not racist views. I have the evidence from my own family that no child is born racist - they are all colour blind. All 'ism's' are learned behaviour from the important people in a child's life. So maybe the Dad needs some (re-)education too.

Any racism of homophobia at matches nees to be called out.

The father of this lad needs to take a look at himself....I agree with "H" a spell in the cells (with his father who in my eyes is just as bad for letting him say these things) might give him a shock....but somehow I doubt it Mad

I'm very pleased to say that it is a long, long time since I heard any racist language around where I sit maybe I am just lucky.

But I know it still exists, especially in villages like Coxhoe where the older generation, and yes I am aware I am now one of that generation, still use the Packies shop.

Yesterday I was waiting for the bus with 6 or 7 of the regulars and the subject of The Village Tavern came up. It was The Red Lion but has new owners and a new name, Friday was the grand opening night. One of the regulars said he was there and said,"I see the puffters have bought it", it sounded so wrong but of course used to be so normal. The good thing is that there was an air of discomfort at the comment. No one challenged it, why was that?
