I always struggle with best because its how do we judge best?

Most skillful
most influential
Most loyal
Most impact

Mind when it comes to worst Rodwell fits all criteria

I was always and still am a fan of Larsson.

I've never seen a worse footballer? than Rodwell ever in the whole whole time I've followed football.

You must be young - or have you blanked these worst ever players from your memory: Steve Berry, Gareth Hall, Lillian Laslandes, Seamus McDonough, Steve Hetzke, Jeff Whitley, and that is just for a start!

I'm only 41, I didnt start following football till the latter end of Peter Reids management, music was always my thing but after an old friend of mine took me to a match I was hooked. First match I went to I remember Kevin Phillips header the ball out of a goalies hands.

Re: Ex - Players

Post  Argus on 2018-10-26, 3:48 pm

Shackleton and Hurley are at the top table of very talented players I can recall, but for pure footballing skill my vote would have to go to Jim Baxter who remains to this day the finest individual player I've ever seen in a red & white shirt.

I don't like the idea of identifying any ex-player as 'the worst' because often they are 'bad' because they are thrown in during difficult times and asked to do a job for which they are not suited and that is more bad management than bad player. However there is one player who deserves the title of 'worst player' ( Mr Rodwell apart) simply because of his arrogance etc... which did not translate on the pitch - Nicklas Bendtner - and he's still plying his trade somewhere in mainland Europe. Always promised a lot but seldom delivered.

Syd, surely a 7 day ban for H is justified purely for mentioning them names.

On the mention of ex players, I happen to walk past Alan Stubbs in Liverpool couple of weeks back, the weekend the 'Giant's' were there.

Connor Wickham, anyone remember him? Came on for basically the last few minutes for Palace last week.
Having not played for, well how long?
