Seat change, final phase

Post  cyprussyd on 2018-10-24, 12:21 pm

Last chance to get involved in the SAFC Seat Change! The final phase of the Stadium of Light seat change will kick off later this month, as the club makes the finishing touches to the project that started in the summer. Over 20,000 seats have already been replaced, with another 10,000 set to be delivered to finish the job in the West Stand and South Stand, week commencing Monday 29 October.
Once again, supporters are invited to play their part in working alongside the stadium's maintenance team to install the seats. Fans wishing to come along and help the SAFC team can register their interest here. Naturally, the safety of supporters is always the utmost priority and to ensure that the necessary health and safety requirements are met, participants must be over 18 years of age and have a basic level of technical ability to do the job.
There will be two sessions each day - morning and afternoon- and at the end of their shift, fans will be able to enjoy complimentary refreshments in Quinn’s Sports Bar.

Looks brilliant - but provided a great opportunity to reaffirm the bond many supporters have for the club, and their love for the Stadium of Light. We want to be able to be proud of it and the cost was peanuts in the scheme of things. Just goes to show that some people can see the wood for the trees - or the seats for what they represent to us all; a new start, clean slate, and a bright shining future in red and white (and the odd bit of black and gold Very Happy ) Wel done to all involved Smile
