City 1-2 Lyon

Was this because there was no Pep talk from the sidelines?

No, they would not agree with that, one is Basque and the other is Catalonia.

I don’t know mate, the first half was awful but a lot better in the second half.  It did make us consider just how much of an impact Pep does have when he’s doing his ballerina act for 90 mins.  Having said that I do like Arteta and they apparently get on very well but it’s still early days for him.

The crowd didn’t help either as many City fans can’t stand Uefa and still boo that poxy tune before the match.  There was still 40,000 there but all the empty seats just seemed to make the atmosphere flat.  I personally wasn’t that bothered as I’ve almost certainly seen us lose a lot more than I’ve seen us win.Very Happy

On a side note, for the first time in my life I decided to take a couple of butties to the ground as the pies are shite.  That worked very well as a friend of mine met up with Shaun Goater in my local before the match and guess what?  I fed the goat!  (Old City song)

Glad you are doing well Dave,  keep it up.

Thanks Sid, I was surprised at the result, I've come to expect City to win at home and mostly win away
