Who would have thought it

Who would have thought it

Post  cyprussyd on 2018-09-19, 4:25 pm

You decide to hold a referendum over our EU membership.

You ask one simple question, IN OR OUT

Make it a straight majority vote, no minimum required

You the allow a full blooded campaign on both sides with misstruthes,(Lies) allowed

You end up with 51.89% wanting out and 48.11% voting remain

So, the country is split down the middle. Under 18's could not vote even though they will be affected the most

Politicians are also split.

Then the man who decided it was a good idea does a runner and the woman responsible for getting us out really wants to stay in.

As the title says,"Who would have thought there would be problems"?

Oh and to cap it all the agreed plan to get us out is not agreed by anyone, happy Christmas everyone. sant sant

Personally I am bored with Brexit....and as it was a tight vote it should be a 'soft' one

Highly skilled yes but expecting anyone to have a plan is a bit far fetched.

In law uk referendums are 'Advisory'.... whatever that means. Today same as back then.. govts and opposition follow political agendas.. not necessarily what is best for the common people.
