Sunday Dinner Empty Sunday Dinner

Post  cyprussyd on 2012-11-25, 12:52 pm

After the trials and tribulations of yesterday there can be nothing better than an afternoon of Sky Super Sunday and a good traditional Sunday Diner.

So what's your favourite, beef, pork, lamb or chicken.

I bet someone decides to be a veggie and spoil my deep incisive thread.

Ideally Syd
Rack of Beef (done rare), Yorkshire Pudding, Roast and Mash potatoes, mashed turnip, Cabbage or Brussels, a good quality gravy (good slug of a Full bodied red in it) and Horseradish sauce. And finally a glass of the afore mentioned red or a Full bodied Bitter or Ale.
A nice proper pudding to finish Apple pie or a Suet pudding like spotted dick with plenty of mustard.

Has to be beef, preferably Aberdeen Angus, sack full of roast potatoes, peas, carrots, soggy batter pudding and nice thick gravy!

Now I'll have my healthy option and cry!

Bloody diabetes

Miss a traditional 'Beef and Yorkshire Pud' Parsnips have to be included along with Horseradish sauce.

Somehow trying to do a Roast here on a Sunday isn't the same, especially coming into the summer month's, now with the weather late 20's to 30's not ideal Roast dinner time.

I had the perfect Sunday dinner, (well imo anyway, in the perfect location).

Lot's pf dffferent dishes, and everyone sharing them. Plenty of sea food and meat dishes, and no alcohol, had enough Sat, trying to watch that game.
