This game for me and I'm sure Ross is simply a training exercise to give game time to players who need it so my team would be, all of course subject to injury.

RUITER
HUME  BALDWIN  FLANIGAN JAMES
MUMBA  ROBSON MCGEOUCH
MOLYNEUX WYKE O'NIEN

Jack Ross will make a number of changes to his side for tonight’s Checkatrade Trophy tie with Stoke City under-21s.
Charlie Wyke is expected to start after he marked his long-awaited debut on Saturday with a goal which earned 10-man Sunderland a point against Oxford United.
Max Power, who was dismissed with 19 minutes played, will miss tonight’s match through suspension while Dylan McGeouch and Tom Flanagan will be looking to get some valuable minutes in the tank as they work their way back to full fitness.
Speaking ahead of the tie at the Stadium of Light this evening, kick-off 7.45pm, Ross has revealed while the tournament offers the potential for silverware, getting certain first-team players up to speed is vital to add options to his group.
“We have got a number of players that need game time and a number who are first-team players coming back to fitness,” he said.
“Charlie (Wyke) needs game time, he had some on Saturday and so did Dylan (McGeouch) but they need more.
“Tom Flanagan was back on the bench, so we have got a number who will be involved and who will feature.
“It will be good for them because that will strengthen us for the league games moving forward as well.
“We’ll make a lot of changes, but we’ll be strong,” he continued. “Charlie, Tom, Dylan, Reece (James), Alim (Ozturk) – guys like that will probably need more game-time so we’ll look at that.
“It’s silverware, it’s an opportunity to get to the national stadium. It’s a sponsored tournament, there’s all these different reasons.”

It's stupid that Power is banned tonight but it won't count as one of his 3 match bans

Have to confess...hard to raise enthusiasm for this.. basically Ross is treating it as a friendly/training game.. nothing wrong with that

Would like to see him playing on his natural left side. He played well but they started to guess he would always come back on his left foot.

As for the rest, couldn't fault anyone.
Ruiter made two good pen saves

Ozturk was solid and Flannagan excellent

McGeouch and Robson controlled the midfield even when Charlie Adam was on the pitch

Wyke, better but needs more game time

McGuire is a bit special
