I know its daft but

There is a slow, quiet but none the less growing clamor for Jack Ross to make a bid to bring Defoe back, hahahahahaha, yes I laughed when I read it.

But hang on, Defoe fell in love with Sunderland and his friendship and love for wee Bradley gave him a life long link with the area.
His premier league future is becoming more and more as a bench player and his England hopes are well gone.

How about one last adventure, coming back to help lead us back to a proud successful club?

Could he be the extra strand in the link?

You mention wages Silvers and wages are one of the many things its taking me some time to get my head around in division 1.

We are used to the daft wages of the premiership and even the championship with players like Catts, hardly a full international, on 60k plus a week.
Now we are bringing players in on 3,4 or 5 k a week, 10 is a fortune in this division, what a drop.

And the silly money has us thinking how 3 to 5 k a week is a poor wage, thats 20k a month, they should still just about get by.
