I assume you all know I sent out a newsletter to all members about Billy's passing and I have had a few nice replies. But sadly not everyone is nice.
Today I received the following reply and thought long and hard about posting it but decided I should.

I have no idea wh this person is, obviously not an active member hers, I suspect not606 and not even a Sunderland fan.
My reply was two words, no not those words but, HOW SAD.

If it's who I think it is - you're right, she's not a Sunderland fan
Think it's the Celtic lass who used to be on quite a bit
I know Billy acted his usual charming self with her, but that was a good few years ago
Response is uncalled for and uneccessary

Just had reply from club about message on big screen, I have said yes and asked for more details, would be a nice keepsake.

Hi Syd,

Hope you’re well. Would you be interested in having a message for David in the programme for this game? We can only provide birthday messages on the screens due to the high demand for birthday messages.

Best regards
Chris

Good man, the joys of retirement means you get all the jobs to do while the younger trophy wife earns the corn.
