I'm all for this, and Jerry will know Billy's details so it shouldn't be a problem . . . . as long as we still 'raise a glass' before the Oxford match [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Billy's Brick

Post  Jerry the Jinx on 2018-07-13, 5:17 pm

Thought I'd put this on a separate post so hopefully everyone can see it

My thoughts for wording were

David Lewis Turnbull
"Billy D"
25/3/67 - 10/7/18
R.I.P

Please feel free to suggest any alternatives and then people can say which is their preference

Excellent Jerry and at £35.00 a bargain IMO, do you want to sort it or would you like me to?

For the last couple of seasons me Nick and Billy would put £1 a week into a tin
Whoever came top in the predictions league got to choose where we went to spend it -  on drink obviously
Hadn't been able to get out yet after last season.
Therefore, will use the money to pay for the brick and to start off the Help for Heroes Just Giving page.

I think the wording is limited to the name of the person nominated. Certainly those on the East Stand wall have only a name on. In any event I don't think the dedication suggested by Jerry would no fit on a brick that is only about  9" x  4"

Thought I'd seen some bricks with dates on, but maybe I was being over-ambitious
So as long as we get his name and Billy D on there, then can see if there's space for a RIP as well
