Re: We make world cup quarter finalists players in Sunderland.
Yes, we have had more ex-players at the World Cup than Real Madrid, Bayern Muc=nich and Juventus! (sorry if I missed a thread that already said this)
Plus Sunderland have already earned at least £600k this summer thanks to getting to the Quarter Finals due to FIFA’s Club Benefits programme, which means that club’s receive a fee for any players taking part in the World Cup who have played for their club in the last two years (The stage of which qualification for the World Cup began). As well as current players Wahbi Khazri and Bryan Oviedo, the Black Cats also have Jordan Pickford, Seb Larsson and Seb Coates who they will financially benefit from.
Not sure how much more we get for being in the QF, but we wil also have at least one of these possibly two, in the semi finals too!
