Bit of an odd one but there's a rumour that the strip will contain no black at all and the shorts will be red. Don't think we've ever had red shorts have we?

I've got a few SAFC shirts and have given a few away to charities etc but the last few home kits (with the gold) & last seasons heap of f*cking sh*te means I have been purchasing training kit tops for the last 3 seasons or so.

Red/White (thicker) stripes, black edging optional and red or white shorts please.

The first vote for red shorts!

Prefer white or black myself.

Must admit I've only bought training tops the last few years they've been really smart.........I used to buy as many shirts as I could as I've a collection going back to 1990 but money is tight now so if I buy any shirts they are for the grandbairns......overall I think adidas have supplied smart home shirts (apart from last seasons abomnation) but the away shirts vary...for every smart kit we've had a hideous one

One thing that pisses me off is this EFL rule of no stripes on the back.
Who the f*ck do they think they are?
Most of the Addidas ones have been shite imo.

It isn't an EFL ruling. It is a FIFA ruling in their equipment regulations as follows

Rule 6.3 Numbers A Number Zone must be created on the back of the shirt unless, in FIFA’s discretion, the number appearing is clearly legible and distinguishable from a distance.

Obviously if Sunderland wanted to have stripes on the back of the shirt they would have to wait for FIFA to okay it and, of course, there is no guarantee they would do anyway.

I notice on the Croatia v Nigeria game the Croatians shirts are the usual red and white chequered fronts with a mainly plain white back.

Is that a fact?
Well it didn't seem to matter in the Premier League.

That is because the ruling only came into force last season.

No it didn't because Newcastle had to have blacked out backs when they were in the Championship so shove that up your hoop.

I regret to have to say it but I have looked at some of the You Tube videos of Newcastle in the 2016/17 Championship season and they are wearing Black and white stripes on the front and back of their shirts.

Sorry to you guys for having to post an NUFC video but it is just to prove my point.

Well Brenford had a decent strip last season with a striped back. Replace the badge and that would have made a good SAFC kit.

I have a very nice piece of official merchandise.
It's a navy blue polo shirt with a broad grey stripe across the chest with tiny blue dots on it.
No tacky badges or sponsors on it, just a nice black cat outlined in red.
Size M & fits perfect.
Got it given of a lass whose husband it belonged to.
In her own words 'It doesn't fit him anymore as he's turned into a fat bastard.'
Very Happy

We've had some seriously bad away ones too.
That English mustard yellow one & the bottle green one.
Worst one though was that f*cking effort with the pink stripes on.
Gayer than Liberace. You'd have to be a bent c**t to wear that.

Update from Roler Report:
Despite July being upon us, we’re still awaiting news of the new Sunderland kits for the forthcoming 2018-19 season but Roker Report understands that the delay is down to a number of factors, one of which is an issue with the previous club sponsor, Dafabet. It’s understood that the Philippines-based company, who started sponsoring Sunderland during our Premier League days, had a clause that allowed them to end the partnership early.
A new sponsor has already been lined up however and we should hear news regarding that deal in the very near future, with rumours suggesting it could be sports exchange company BETDAQ.
Once the new sponsor has been announced, the away kit should be unveiled by the end of this month, with the home kit following later in the summer.
The designs of the kits are currently under wraps but we believe the home shirt should be more popular than last season’s candy stripes effort but as they were chosen by the old regime, they aren’t quite the first choice of the new owners
