50% discount probably on the cards unless a French club comes in for him. At best we halve his contract by loaning him out.

Cardiff is the latest rumour as his next destination. Think we will be lucky to get £5 mil forhim. Yet again another loss.

Another loss indeed, like many others.

A report in Turkish outlet Fotomac claims that Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong has been offered to Galatasaray.
Cardiff City and Lyon are also credited with an interest in the Gabon international midfielder, who is set to depart the Stadium of Light this summer.
Ndong failed to make an appearance for Watford during a Premier League loan spell last season.

Ndong will, of course, want to be away. He will have had a further wage cut because of relegation, though not enough to match our future wage structure. He is an international, he was a premier squad player last season and those interested are premier, La Ligue and the Greeks! Teams of that stature wouldn't normally expect to sign a promising 23 yr old for peanuts and I don't think that Stewart Donald will be a soft touch in the transfer market either.

So, relative to the sort of fees given for mediocre players in the last 2 transfer windows I would hope for 8 million++

I hope this is true.

Bids in for Ndong
Didier Ndong has been in demand this week as he looks to engineer a move away from the Stadium of Light, with Cardiff, Lyon, Galatasaray and teams in Italy all being linked with a move for the player.
Speaking to BBC Newcastle’s Total Sport, Stewart Donald gave an update on the transfer situation at the club and noted that serious offers had been tabled for one player in particular:
There are other clubs interested in a lot of our players and we’ve turned down bids for some of them. The bigger issue is not whether we can afford to keep them but whether those players want to stay.
We’ve got a player at the moment that we were offered €3m for. We said no, all of a sudden it’s at €7.5m and that’s a much more acceptable figure. We might be close on that one.
We believe that player to be Didier Ndong, and although it will mean taking a loss on our record signing, if such a figure was to be re-invested back into the playing squad it would be a huge amount by League One standards.
You can listen to Donald and Charlie Methven’s appearance on Total Sport by clicking HERE.

Both Sam's choices and the deals were in progress when Moyes came in.

Both have the option of resurrecting their careers which are going nowhere at the moment. It's up to them. If they stay, I don't think the level of N'Dong's p*ss take out of us will be anywhere near that of Rodwell and we might actually get some game time out of him. With Rodwell, I have a sneaking suspicion that our Chairman will find a solution one way of the other as I have the feeling he is not a man who will be taken the p*ss out of. It would be nice if it is a solution that kills his career completely but we can only hope.
