Sickness & Health, Curry and Chips and Mind your Language were two that were funny at the time as it was about strangled English by foreigner.  Definitely non-PC now.  Anybody remember Harry Worth. who I found a much under-rated funny man?

I remember Harry Worth but didn't find him particularly funny  rather childish humour imo

Of those mentioned Porridge is my favourite.

Loved Yes Minister too. Watch it again if you get fhe chance - so sharp and still relevant today (sadly!)

Comedies from a bit later that I liked were dinnerladies, One Foot in the Grave and Father Ted

I know that, Billy, and I don't really think that it should be brought back Wink

'Nearest & Dearest' was one of my favourites, and I used to enjoy watching 'Just Jimmy' though it wasn't a favourite.

'Randall & Hopkirk (deceased)' was a sort of comedy that was one of my favourites, too Smile

I liked the original Randall and Hopkirk but was unimpressed with the Vic Reeves version.

Saturday evening with "The Comedians".

Bernard Manning, Charlie Williams, Jim Bowen starting out.  Some good stuff.

A memorable one-liner was by Ken Platt(?) "Jewish teacher went into class and said "Right class - settle up".

Interesting that nobody has mentioned Monty Python.. cos I did not like them much either.

The Goons radio and T.V. versions. Blackadder. .

On radio  Round the Horn... how on earth they got away with what they did
