High earners

Post  cyprussyd on 2018-05-23, 4:21 pm

We know we want to keep the kids, players like McNair, Asoro, Honeyman, Gooch, Maja, Robson, Embleton, Watmore, Maja.

And we know we need a shed loan in but the biggest task over the next few weeks will be reducing the wage bill and the deadwood, many fit both categories.

Pappy, Borini, Khazri and N'Dong will hopefully be taken by their loan clubs and a few more are out of contract but we are still left with a far from easy task.

Cattermole, Kone, Oviedo, at least one of Ruiter and Steele may not be easy to move, all on good money and all with tarnished reputations then of course we have Rodwell who has show how hard it can be to move players.

A big job for owners and new manager.

Going forward I hope when contracting players we reduce the retainers & increase the match bonuses. TBH this should be easier given we'll be able to build from a lower level of achievement with players on the up cycle as opposed to those whom feel they have an entitlement. Well I live in hope....
