Well for the last time this season and indeed in the championship it's MATCHDAY.

a gorgeous day out there and an end to so many things..

This depressing season of failure.
The end of the Short era.
Hopefully the last sighting of so many who have brought us here.

But it's also the start of a new era under new ownership that is expected, so Bain says, to be completed this week. Our new chairman will be with us today and indeed with us in the pink seats not the padded ones so lets hope we can show him what Sunderland fans are really like and create a good positive atmosphere and give him a Mackem welcome.

Great result and an excellent performance to send almost 28,500 fans away happy (ish) for once.

Looking forward to the summer; new owner, new manager, new players, old players gone. The future is as bright as the sun outside today sunny

Can't get excited about this as it means nothing.
Still a win is a win.
Big love to you all.

Whats not to be happy about, relegation was sorted when we lost to Burton so that can't be it.

A beautiful sunny day and 28,500 fans not happyish but very happy, in party mode and happy and proud to support Sunderland. New owner there with his family and he could only be impressed with what he saw including the fly past with a banner proclaiming Sunderland till I die. Oh and we got to see a good performance, some great promise from the kids and a win.

Add in surrounded by good people including Lesmack and Vince, you had to be there, 28,500 were there and loved every minute.

Great day, its what being a fan is all about IMO, fantastic atmosphere, good performance and a win, finish the season on a high.
