Reading v Sunderland
Sat 14 Apr
KO 15.00
Madejski Stadium

On we move, well those still on the train, to the deep south and Reading with one question on most minds, can we get that elusive win.

The Norwich game like the 3 before saw effort and desire with missed chances, terrible refereeing and sucker punches but that win must come, surely.

I can here it now, "To little to late", well winning football matches for me is never to late, whatever division we are in.

Lat night was a sign of times ahead with more empty seats than full, even the much heralded Newcastle invasion and mass murder failed to materialise with lots of extra stewards and police given an easy night, I think they were really there to stop Sunderland fans getting out early.

Well busy week ahead for me with hospital appointments for Mrs S who had a bad fall last night and numerous workman to deal with at our other and soon to be new house so I will leave you all to enjoy the  build up, I know you are all excited, can't fool me.

Just taking each game as it comes. It is what it is. Cannot get excited but life is too short to be depressed about it Smile

Hope Mrs S is okay. Make sure you look after yourself too Syd kiss

Re: Reading v Sunderland

Sunderland are expected to be without captain John O’Shea when they travel to Reading on Saturday, Chris Coleman has confirmed.
The centre back was forced off against Norwich City on Tuesday due to problems with his back and groin, and the Canaries took advantage to snatch a late point at the Stadium of Light.
Marc Wilson and Paddy McNair both missed the midweek clash after starting at Leeds United, but both are expected to return to action on Saturday at the Madejski Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, Coleman provided the latest.
“I think Sheazy is going to struggle for Saturday,” said the Welshman.
“He did nothing yesterday and nothing today, he’s just been with the physios and the medical team.”
He continued: “It’s a great shame because with crucial games coming up, you want that experience.
“The way my brain works, analysing games all the time, had we had him on the pitch [against Norwich] for the last five minutes, just for his organisation, it could have been a lot different.
“His groin and his back were getting worse and worse during the game, and we couldn’t risk missing him for the rest of the season, so we had to bring him off and he’s unlikely to be available for Saturday.
“Paddy trained today, albeit under controlled circumstances, but he’s feeling good and he should train with us tomorrow, and if he gets through that he’ll be okay for Saturday.
“We also expect Marc Wilson to train with us tomorrow, providing he doesn’t have any bad reaction today.”

Good luck to the Black Cats at Reading  I would love to see you escape though I have to admit it is very much a long shot.

Whoever you play next season  I 'm confident you will play much better with Cookie at the helm and the deadwood removed.
